The NADA Auto Show 2024, which began on Tuesday, has drawn a large crowd, especially among those interested in budget-friendly electric vehicles (EVs).

With a range of cars priced from 19.96 lakhs to 17 million, the event features a variety of options. Notably, four electric cars priced under 30 lakhs have become major attractions, appealing to customers looking for affordable and efficient vehicles.

One of the most talked-about models at the show is the BAW Brumby. Priced at 21.9 lakhs, this 5-door electric hatchback, brought to Nepal by LLR Motors, offers a compelling package for budget-conscious buyers. The Brumby is equipped with a 17.28 kWh battery, delivering a range of 205 kilometers on a full charge. It features a compact design with an electric motor that provides a peak power of 30 kW. Inside, the car boasts a 10.25-inch intelligent display, parking radar, a 360-degree camera, and other high-tech safety functions.

Another standout is KE’s Ecute-04, launched by Lakshmi Immobility at the NADA Auto Show. This model, priced at 24.96 lakhs, comes with a 40 kW motor and a 28.08 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 301 kilometers. Supporting fast charging, the Ecute-04 can charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, making it a practical choice for daily commuting. The car also includes modern features like dual airbags, parking sensors, ABS, ESC, and a multifunctional steering wheel, enhancing both safety and comfort.

The HEV 300, presented by S Cube Enterprises, is another affordable option attracting attention. With a price of 28 lakhs, or 25.95 lakhs for bookings made during the show, this EV comes with a 35 kW motor and a 32.56 kWh battery pack. It offers an impressive range of up to 335 kilometers on a single charge. The HEV 300 also features a 12.8-inch LCD screen, electric power steering, dual airbags, and other essential amenities, providing a balance between affordability and performance.

The Dongfeng Nami E-1 has also emerged as a popular choice at the show. Priced at 29.99 lakhs, this model from China’s Dongfeng Motors combines state-of-the-art exterior styling with a premium interior. It features a 31.4 kWh battery pack and a 70 kW electric motor, delivering a range of 237 kilometers. The Nami E-1 comes equipped with advanced safety features such as dual airbags, ABS, EBD, hill assist, and traction control, along with a multi-drive mode and frameless doors, appealing to those looking for both style and functionality.

These four electric vehicles, each offering unique features and competitive pricing, are proving to be crowd favorites at the NADA Auto Show 2024, showcasing the growing demand for affordable and efficient cars in Nepal.
