Touch Zero One, New Rival Of Apple Watch

Swatch plans to add to its newly smartwatch vary, the Swiss watchmaker’s chief told a newspaper in an interview revealed on Sunday. The Biel, Switzerland-based company is a competitor with Apple and different watchmakers within the same smartwatch market.

Nick Hayek, as quoted by Switzerland’s Tages-Anzeiger newspaper, said, “Our product is known as Touch Zero-One that provides enough room for Zero-Five and Zero Nine.” Hayek further added that “The Touch Zero One isn’t the end of the progression of the smartwatch series.”

Swatch would launch Touch Zero 2 at next year’s Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro city metropolis urban center.

The Swiss company’s strategy seems to primarily revolve around including individual technical school options in numerous models instead of going head to go with Apple to form all-in-one smart watches combining several functions.

The Touch Zero One has several features that include the original curved screen, built-in backlight, finger-tap, and side-swipe control. The newly added functions are a touchscreen with greater accuracy and feedback than the original along with the “Beach Volley functions” such as a step counter, power hits, and power claps. The smartwatch will be battery powered.

Additionally, Touch Zero One, which might track the space the user travels and facilitate beach volleyball players live the facility of their hits, the swatch is also planning to launch watches with an embedded “near field communication” chip this year. The near field communication chip allows the watch to send and receive data between the smartphone and the app running on the phone.
