Scheduled for a pre-Dashain launch, this new variant promises to be a game-changer, offering a remarkable blend of fuel efficiency, cutting-edge technology, and powerful performance.
Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS motorcycles in Nepal, is spearheading the launch, signaling a new era for commuter motorcycles in the country.
The TVS Raider has already established itself as a popular choice among Nepali riders due to its sporty design and robust performance.
The IGO variant, however, takes this legacy a step further with its focus on intelligent features and enhanced mileage. The core highlight of the Raider IGO is its ability to increase mileage by an impressive 15% thanks to the innovative EcoThrust FI system.
This technology is a direct response to the growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles in a market where fuel costs are a constant concern for consumers.
Beyond its fuel efficiency, the Raider IGO is packed with technological advancements that set it apart from its competitors. The motorcycle comes with the new IntelliGO IGO Assist Technology, which provides 10% more efficiency compared to other Raider variants.
This system, combined with a 124.8cc single-cylinder, three-valve, air-and-oil cooled EFI advanced engine, ensures a smooth and responsive riding experience. The engine generates a maximum torque of 11.75 Nm at 6000 RPM, allowing the bike to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in a swift 5.8 seconds.
This combination of efficiency and performance makes the Raider IGO a compelling option for both daily commutes and spirited rides.
The design of the TVS Raider IGO is another highlight. It features a sporty naked street design that exudes a modern and aggressive aesthetic.
The complete LED light setup, including an animalistic headlamp, gives the bike a distinctive look. The rider’s experience is further elevated by the colorful reverse LCD TFT console, which provides access to more than 85 connected features.
These features include single-touch button operation, call management, voice assist, hypersmart connect features, and navigation, offering an unprecedented level of connectivity and convenience for a motorcycle in this segment.
Riders can also choose between three different riding modes—Eco, Boost, and Power—to optimize their riding experience based on traffic conditions and personal preference.
The motorcycle also includes a glide-through traffic system, which makes navigating congested urban areas much easier. Other intelligent features like an ISG silent starter and engine cut-off add to the bike’s appeal, making it a truly smart and user-friendly machine.
In terms of hardware, the TVS Raider IGO is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, a telescopic fork, and an adjustable mono-shock suspension setup, ensuring a comfortable and stable ride on varying road conditions.
Safety is also a priority, with the inclusion of front disc and rear drum brakes, an SBT braking system, and a roto-petal brake disc, providing reliable stopping power.
The pricing of the TVS Raider IGO is anticipated to be competitive. While the top variant of the existing TVS Raider is priced at Rs. 2,99,900 in Nepal, the new IGO variant is expected to be priced around Rs. 20,000 to 25,000 more.
This slight price increase is justified by the significant technological upgrades and enhanced features that the IGO variant brings to the table. As Jagdamba Motors prepares for the launch, the excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts and potential buyers is palpable.
The TVS Raider IGO is not just a new motorcycle; it represents a leap forward in motorcycle technology, promising a future where performance, efficiency, and smart features coexist seamlessly.
The pre-Dashain launch date means that Nepali consumers will have the opportunity to experience this new-age motorcycle just in time for the festive season.
