Twitter Launches Bounty Program

Twitter has launched a new bug bounty program. The company has introduced the Bug Bounty program as a completely new program, not related to security vulnerabilities.

The bug hunters need to find out the effect of the company’s image-cropping algorithm, not Twitter’s weakness.

The company launched the ‘Image Cropping Algorithm’ in 2018. As soon as the system is brought in, the photos used on Twitter are automatically cut to a site. However, the system has been in question lately.

Many users have complained that the image cropping algorithm focuses more on white people.

The company itself had studied the matter internally. He said that by providing the code of the image cropping algorithm, various organizations were asked to study the subject. From which the fact of some discrimination has been found.

At the same time, the company will make it available to all users. The company is promoting it as a bug bounty.

What is the Reward?

Rewards of up to 3,500(Rs.4, 16,000) will be provided if the user finds the effect of the image cropping algorithm and makes it available.
