Uber to set up it’s center in Kathmandu.

Uber a famous transportation network company is gearing up to launch its center in Kathmandu.  As the company has been extending its center in different parts of the world in recent years, Kathmandu is its next target.

Suraj Vaidya President of United Trader Syndicate said “Uber’s data center will be situated in current office of United Traders Syndicate in Chabahil, which is an authorized dealer of Toyota motors in Nepal.

While Uber is yet to make its inroads to Nepal, the company has chosen Nepal to establish its global data center ‘considering the cost factor, as it would be relatively cheaper to set up the center here compared to other South Asian countries’.

One of the main reasons for Uber to choose Kathmandu for its data center is the cost factor, as it would be comparatively cheaper here than in other South Asian Countries.

After many rounds of meeting the building of UTS was fixed for the center. The finalization of the deal will be done very soon.

In recent years Uber has been doing immensely successful business all around the world that’s why they are investing extremely in setting up the data center. In 2016 Uber had served two billion trips and in 2017 the number of trips escalated again.

The establishment of Uber center can prolly have a positive impact on the nation. It can be a great incentive for other multinational companies who are thinking of running their industry in Nepal. Similarly, it can also motivate other online and information technology service.
