The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has instructed all internet providers to lift the ban on TikTok.
Unblock TikTok in Nepal
The government had previously decided to remove the ban on TikTok under specific conditions. Following this decision, NTA issued a directive on Friday, ordering all internet service providers to allow access to the platform.
“Under the decision made by the Cabinet on 2081/05/06 to lift the ban on TikTok, the Authority has directed all relevant internet and mobile service providers to unblock the platform. This decision was made under the authority granted by Section 15 of the Telecommunications Act, 2053, until further notice,” the official statement from NTA reads.
Last year, in Kartik, the government had decided to ban TikTok.
