However, experts often encounter specific issues while editing. This workshop aims to bridge that gap by offering insights into navigating privacy concerns, managing conflicts of interest, and initiating work on articles that require significant attention.
One of the key aspects of the event is the hands-on approach it takes. Participants are encouraged to select an article they wish to work on and are advised to pre-register on the event dashboard.
“We believe that every expert’s contribution to Wikipedia can significantly enhance the quality of information available online. Our workshop aims to empower scholars with the skills and knowledge to become valuable Wikipedia editors, thereby advancing the cause of knowledge equity,” said, the President of the CAN Federation Surkhet Mr. Lokendra Giri.
The Wikipedia Editing Workshop is a unique opportunity for experts to engage with one of the world’s most popular online platforms, contributing to its accuracy and comprehensiveness.
The event will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on both participants and the broader online community, fostering an environment of collaborative learning and knowledge dissemination.
