Exciting news for TikTok creators! Now, you have the opportunity to win up to Rs. 50,000 just by making creative and engaging TikTok videos. The Social Security Fund (SSF) is organizing a TikTok contest in celebration of the upcoming 7th Social Security Day.

Win Big SSF’s TikTok Contest

The contest features a theme song created by SSF that participants can use to make TikTok videos. The winner will receive a grand prize of Rs. 50,000. The runner-up will take home Rs. 40,000, and the third-place winner will be awarded Rs. 30,000, as announced by SSF.

SSF is commemorating the 7th Social Security Day on the 11th of Mangsir. The fund has been providing various social security benefits to Nepali citizens working in formal, informal, self-employed, and foreign employment sectors under its contribution-based program. At the launch of this program, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli described it as “a new era’s beginning,” and interestingly, he is the current Prime Minister of Nepal as well.

SSF operates four main social security schemes: old-age security, medical treatment, health and maternity security, accident and disability insurance, and dependent family security plans. Under the Labour Act, formal sector employees must participate in the contribution-based social security program, while even those working abroad and self-employed individuals are included in the scheme.

The scope of SSF has expanded significantly, with contributions and member participation growing extensively. As of now, around 20,000 employers have registered with the fund, and 1.756 million contributors are enrolled, contributing over Rs. 68 billion. The fund has disbursed Rs. 11.44 billion for various social security benefits to its members. Local governments are also actively working with SSF to ensure that citizens join and benefit from the program.
