Women in Data Conference is conducting speed mentoring sessions to guide aspiring women in data toward a better career.
If you are a professional working in the field of data and believe your expertise and knowledge will help these young women in any capacity, register for the session as a mentor and be a pillar of the future of women in tech.
Women in Data Conference has been organized since 2019 supported by UKAid, and The Asia Foundation under its Data for Development (D4D) program.
This year the theme is “Transformation through the Integration of Women, Data, and Entrepreneurship” and we are celebrating the 4th edition of the conference.
The mentoring program “Career in Data” will be presented by Shequal Foundation and Women In Big Data Nepal at the Women in Data Conference 2023.

Every year the conference is organized by The Asia Foundation with active member organizations of the Women in Data Steering Committee – member organizations involved in the committee are Open Knowledge Nepal (OKN), Shequal Foundation, Women Leaders in Technology (WLiT), and Women in STEAM (WiSTEAM).
The committee is a network of accomplished and impact evidence-driven organizations that came together to promote an inclusive ecosystem in data development for Nepal.
The “Career in Data” program caters to undergraduate students and recent graduates aspiring to pursue a career in the tech industry.
Those new to this field often require direction on building an academic and work experience roadmap.
The session offers an opportunity to learn from experienced mentors who share their professional journeys and provide valuable advice on overcoming obstacles in their fields of interest.
Shequal Foundation and Women in Big Data Nepal are hosting this event to help participants realize their potential.
The program will feature 8-10 mentors with at least two years of experience in various tech domains, such as Software Engineering, Big Data, Blockchain, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Data Science/Analyst, and Data Engineering.
Each mentee is allowed to seek guidance from up to three mentors, and a networking event will follow the mentoring sessions.
