To catalyze a transformative shift in the national economy, NITI RESEARCH, in collaboration with the Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI) and ICT FRAME, is proud to announce a landmark interaction program titled “Women in Startups: Opportunities, Challenges, and the Way Forward.”

Scheduled for January 5, 2026 (Poush 21, 2082), at the Airport Hotel, Kathmandu, this event serves as a critical platform to empower Nepalese women by addressing the systemic hurdles within the startup ecosystem. Supported by the Tech Bloggers Association of Nepal and ICT FRAME Magazine Pvt. Ltd., the initiative aims to bridge the gap between aspiring female entrepreneurs and the resources they need to succeed.
The program arrives at a pivotal time when female leadership is increasingly recognized as a cornerstone of innovation. “This initiative will serve as a milestone in creating a robust startup ecosystem and nurturing a healthy business environment in Nepal,” stated Chiranjibi Adhikari, CEO of One Cover Private Limited.
Key Objectives and Highlights: The half-day event is designed to tackle the multifaceted barriers faced by women through:
Problem Identification: Pinpointing financial, social, and structural challenges.
Mentorship & Inspiration: A special documentary screening will showcase the success stories of prominent female leaders to inspire students and aspiring owners.
Strategic Networking: Facilitating direct dialogue between investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs.
Core Discussion Topics: The interaction will feature deep dives into Access to Investment, navigating Work-Life Balance within traditional social structures, leveraging Technology and Innovation, and establishing sustainable Mentorship pathways.

Distinguished Guests and Speakers: The event will be graced by Honorable Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister of Industry, as the Chief Guest. Umesh Kumar Gupta (Rauniyar), Executive Director of IEDI, will lead the technical Q&A sessions.
Furthermore, representatives from the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) and the Women’s Chamber will provide institutional insights to help guide the next generation of leaders.
