Yango Empowers Female Drivers
The initiative was designed to support female partner drivers and couriers by providing practical knowledge and tools to better manage their personal finances. The session focused on key areas such as budgeting, savings, financial planning, and long-term economic stability, helping participants strengthen their financial independence.
Female drivers in the ride-hailing industry often face challenges such as irregular income and limited access to financial planning resources. Through this program, Yango in Nepal aims to help address these challenges and contribute to improving the financial well-being of women working in the sector.
The session was facilitated by financial expert Grace Rauniyar, who shared practical insights and guidance tailored to the everyday financial realities of female drivers and couriers.
Speaking about the initiative, Santosh Pandey, Country Manager at Yango in Nepal, said: “At Yango, we are always looking for ways to support our partner drivers in their everyday lives. This particular session was designed specifically for the women who drive our platform forward every day. This financial literacy program is a step towards empowering female drivers and couriers with the knowledge and confidence to build a secure financial future.”
In addition to being an initiative targeted towards uplifting the overall community in the markets Yango operates in, this program also reflects Yango’s broader objective of improving driver and courier satisfaction while strengthening its reputation as a platform that actively supports and nurtures women’s economic empowerment.
Similarly, Yango has also been actively hosting interactive sessions and events for its partner drivers and couriers in Nepal, including safety sessions with the Traffic Police, as well as routine events to reward its best-performing drivers and couriers.
By creating meaningful opportunities for learning and growth, Yango in Nepal continues to champion initiatives that promote inclusion, independence, and long-term success for partner drivers and couriers.
