Recently Maruti Suzuki India has released the updated 2018 Ciaz mid-size sedan. The car is introduced with comprehensive cosmetic changes, new features, and a new engine as well. The new Ciaz can be found in petrol-manual & automatic and diesel-manual. The petrol-manual and diesel-manual are each available in 4 trims. Likewise, the petrol-automatic is available in the three trims.

The sedan features rand new 1.5L K15B petrol smart hybrid engine. The vehicle has a starting price of Rs 8.19 lakh in India. The new 1.5L petrol engine replaces the older 1.4L petrol while the 1.3L turbo charged diesel motor remains the same as before. The new Ciaz gets updates to look with a new front facade and a further 4.2 inches MID. The car is equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels in dual tone metallic pebble finish. It features bright real tail lamps.

 The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz offers improved levels of safety with the addition of Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold function as standard on the petrol AT version. A speed alert system, rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminders for the driver and front passenger are also part of the package.

The new engine makes 13 percent more power with 103 bhp available at 6000 rpm, while peak torque out has gone up to 138 Nm at 4400 rpm. The motor comes paired with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The new engine also comes with the automaker’s Smart Hybrid by Suzuki (SHVS) technology for improved efficiency and lower emission norms. As a result, the 2018 Ciaz facelift is more fuel efficient despite the bigger engine and returns an ARAI certified figure of 21.56 kmpl, despite the more prominent engine reports NDTV.

If you look at the interiors that too has got quite sophisticated, there are a new birch blonde woodgrain accents with the stylish low gloss finish, and of course, there are lots of satin chrome highlights on the dashboard and door trims.

There is a new 4.2-inch multi-information color TFT display then, of course, there is eco illumination in the speedometer which all will come live when we drive the vehicle and give a final report and sometime early on the 23rd of this month. It’s a new CS, and there are a lot of exciting features.
