Total of more than 3 million people is associated with different mobile service provider in Nepal.

As per the report, till the end of July, there were 30.62 million users using the service of GSM Sim.  Similarly, a total of 2.62 million was using the service of CDM.

According to the Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA), a total of 30.92 million users are using different telephone service that includes mobile and other devices.

 The primary competition is within Nepal Telecom and Ncell. Nepal Telecom has got around 10.99 million users whereas; Ncell is approximate with 10.65 million users.

During the process of counting the users, a single person who together uses the service of dual SIM cards and fixed telephone service has been calculated as multiple people.

The counting process seems to be unfair and unauthentic since it has counted as multiple heads to single people who use different sorts of telephone service at once.

Still, there are many little places in Nepal who are deprived of telephone access.

At present, altogether 6.82 million uses the PSTN service of NTC. Similarly, the total numbers of people using wireless service are 9.20 million.

 According to the MIS report, till the end of July, the telecom distributed 10.75 million GSM sim cards whereas a total of  1.583 million users are using CDMA service.

UTL has been providing its service to 7.23 million users. Hello, Nepal has got a total of 3.27 million users whereas Smart has been assisting 1.879 million users. Users employing fixed telephone are around 3 percent.

The report is prepared by statics that is provided by the different telephone service provider to NTA.

Recently, the government has done one survey regarding the access of internet in Nepal. According to that report, more than 50 percent of populations are enjoying the entrance to the internet.

NTA reported the increasing use of a smartphone is escalating the numbers of internet users.

As per the report, around 15 million populations are using different kinds of the internet. The types of the internet that are mostly being used include fixed broadband wire, fixed broadband wireless, and mobile broadband. Among the 50 percent total of 39 percent uses mobile broadband.
