Following a successful import of 30 units late last month, the official sales process is actively beginning. This futuristic coupe-SUV, first unveiled at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo in late July, has already generated substantial customer bookings.
Sales and Availability Timeline
Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor for Mahindra in Nepal, publicly introduced the BE 6 at the NAIMA expo, where they immediately commenced pre-bookings.
According to Mr. Vardan Basnet, General Manager at Agni Incorporated, initial deliveries will prioritize these pre-booked customers. Subsequently, the company will sequentially open the general sales process. The official widespread sale of the Mahindra BE 6 Electric SUV is expected to start within the next two weeks.
Mahindra is actively marketing three distinct variants of the BE 6 in Nepal, each offering a step-up in features and technology. Buyers can choose the model that best suits their needs and budget.
Performance and Powertrain
Powering the BE 6 is a robust 59 kWh battery pack, providing excellent range and performance. Mahindra developed this model on its dedicated, pure EV platform, emphasizing efficiency and dynamic driving.
The electric motor produces 99 kW of power and an impressive peak torque of 380 Nm. The company states that the long-range version of this LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery SUV achieves a WLTP range of 550 km, making it highly competitive in the Nepali market.
The vehicle supports multiple driving modes, which Mahindra has named Range, Everyday, and Race, allowing drivers to customize their experience for efficiency or maximum excitement. Furthermore, the BE 6 actively supports 175 kW DC fast charging, which drastically reduces charging times for highway journeys.
