To coincide with the milestone, the company has launched “inDrive Sanga Afnai Rojaimaa Chaina Pressure” “Drive Without Pressure,” a campaign highlighting the platform’s driver-first model and operational flexibility.
Running from June through August 2026, the campaign focuses on the everyday realities of professional drivers and the importance of maintaining control over when and how they work.
Since launching in Nepal, inDrive has operated on a peer-to-peer model that allows drivers and passengers to negotiate fares directly through the app. The company says this approach is designed to give drivers greater autonomy over ride selection, working hours, and earnings.
“Over the past five years, we have focused on building a platform that drivers can trust for the long term,” said Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist at inDrive Nepal. “Drivers value flexibility, transparency, and the ability to make decisions that work for their personal and professional lives. That principle continues to guide how we operate in Nepal.”
The campaign’s central message, “Drive Without Pressure,” reflects growing conversations around working conditions and financial stability within Nepal’s digital transport economy, where many drivers increasingly rely on ride-hailing as a primary source of income.
According to the company, Nepal has become an important long-term market for inDrive’s South Asia operations, with continued focus on sustainable growth and local community engagement.
As part of the initiative, inDrive is also introducing the “Homecoming Meter”, which will spotlight stories of Nepali drivers who have returned from overseas employment and rebuilt livelihoods within Nepal through platform-based work opportunities.
The initiative will align with broader national conversations around labour migration, economic resilience, and opportunities for income generation within the country.
