Mount Everest Power Development Limited has successfully completed the formal allotment process for its Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The shares were issued directly to the general investing public to finalize the capitalization program of the energy firm.
The allocation procedures were executed on Friday morning under the supervision of primary market regulators. The computational matching was conducted at the central headquarters of NIMB Ace Capital Limited, which serves as the officially appointed issue and sales manager for the public offering.
HEAVY OVERSUBSCRIPTION AND LOTTERY SELECTION
The public issuance witnessed massive investor participation from retail traders across all provinces. Because the overall demand vastly outpaced the available stock inventory, the allotment committee had to implement a centralized lottery system to distribute the equity units fairly. The final system reports highlighted several critical subscription metrics:
- Total Applications Received: The initial collection pool recorded 2,862,909 total application entries from the general public.
- Rejected Profiles: A volume of 47,230 applications were fully disqualified and rejected by the automated clearing system due to duplicate entries, invalid bank credentials, or missing identification details.
- Valid Application Pool: The final pool consisted of 2,815,679 valid individual applications competing for the limited public stock inventory.
- Aggregate Share Demand: The total number of units demanded by valid applicants reached 30,119,880 shares, proving the massive liquidity currently directed toward clean energy assets.
Due to the heavy oversubscription rate, only 142,760 lucky applicants successfully received shares through the computerized lottery drawing. Each winning individual was allocated a flat lot of 10 shares at par value. The remaining vast majority of valid applicants did not receive any equity units during this specific corporate distribution.
CAPITAL BREAKDOWN AND ALLOCATION SCHEMES
Mount Everest Power Development Limited originally issued a cumulative pool of 2.58 million ordinary shares to the public market. Every ordinary unit was valued at a standard face value of NPR 100 per share to accumulate a total public investment fund.
The broader capitalization architecture was divided systematically into multiple distinct target groups to satisfy corporate guidelines and local developmental regulations:
- Project Affected Locals: The firm allocated 860,000 ordinary shares exclusively to residential communities located within the immediate vicinity of the hydropower project sites in Solukhumbu.
- Migrant Workers Quota: Within the remaining general public pool, 172,000 shares were reserved strictly for non-resident Nepali citizens working in employment destinations abroad.
- Institutional Mutual Funds: A specialized pool of 86,000 shares was transferred directly to registered mutual fund schemes operating inside Nepal.
- Internal Corporate Staff: The company reserved 34,400 shares to be purchased by its internal employees and administrative staff members.
- General Investing Public: The final remaining balance of 1,427,600 shares was floated directly to regular domestic retail investors.
PROJECT OVERVIEW AND FUTURE MARKET LISTINGS
The capital acquired from this public stock offering will be directed toward strengthening the financial positioning of the company. Mount Everest Power Development Limited currently owns and manages the 12 Megawatt Dudhkunda Khola Hydroelectric Project, an active run-of-river generation facility positioned within the Solukhumbu district.
Following the successful completion of the allotment cycle, the issue manager will proceed to upload the verified shareholder registry into the database systems of CDS and Clearing Limited. The company expects to initiate formal share trading operations on the floor of the Nepal Stock Exchange within the coming weeks under a unique commercial ticker symbol.
