Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Urges Shareholders To Dematerialize Shares And Update Bank Details For Pending Dividends
27th July 2026, Kathmandu
Mahalaxmi Development Bank Limited has issued an urgent notice advising its shareholders to dematerialize their physical share certificates and update their designated bank account information.
MBBL Urges Shares Dematerialization
The step is required to enable the direct electronic transfer of pending dividend distributions.
The development bank noted that a section of its investors continues to hold physical share certificates or has outdated bank account records on file. Consequently, dividend payouts approved during previous Annual General Meetings could not be successfully remitted to the respective shareholders.
Key Compliance Steps For Shareholders
To ensure the seamless clearance of past dividends and prevent issues with future distributions, the bank has directed shareholders to complete the following updates:
Dematerialization of Share Certificates
Shareholders holding physical equity certificates must convert their holdings into electronic format by submitting dematerialization requests through an authorized Depository Participant.
Updating Bank Account Records
Investors need to verify and update their bank account details associated with their demat accounts to facilitate automated electronic fund transfers.
Streamlining Digital Dividend Distribution
Mahalaxmi Development Bank emphasized that maintaining updated investor records is essential for smooth corporate governance. Electronic payment systems reduce distribution delays, prevent cheque losses, and ensure shareholders receive their yield immediately upon approval.
Contact Points For Assistance
Shareholders requiring guidance or assistance with dematerialization procedures and record updates can reach out to the designated institutional offices:
- Share Registrar: Siddhartha Capital Limited, located at Narayanchaur, Naxal, Kathmandu.
- Corporate Office: Mahalaxmi Development Bank Limited Head Office, situated at Durbar Marg, Kathmandu.
The institution has recommended that all concerned shareholders complete these administrative updates at the earliest to ensure timely receipt of all current and uncollected dividend funds.
