NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited has decided to invest in the Aayu Malun Khola Hydropower Project by purchasing 1 million founder shares, marking a significant investment expansion in Nepal’s renewable energy sector.

The decision was formally approved during a recent executive meeting of the company’s Board of Directors.
According to official disclosures, the board approved the acquisition of 1,000,000 founder shares at the face value of Rs 100 per share, amounting to a total equity commitment of Rs 100 million.
The strategic equity placement reflects NRN Infrastructure’s continued focus on strengthening its clean energy portfolio across Nepal.
21 MW Hydropower Project Under Construction
The Aayu Malun Khola Hydropower Project has an installed capacity of 21 megawatts and is currently under active construction in Molung Rural Municipality of Okhaldhunga District.
Once completed and connected to the national grid, the project is expected to contribute to Nepal’s growing hydropower generation capacity and reinforce clean energy infrastructure.
