United College Hosts United Ignite 3.0: Annual Business Pitching Competition Highlights Innovation

United Academy Group’s United College hosted the third edition of its flagship business idea pitching competition, United Ignite 3.0, organized by the United Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Incubation (UCEII) in Lalitpur, Nepal. Featuring 9 final student teams across BBM, BCA, and BBS programs, team Kapa-Kriti secured first place with a cash prize of NPR 15,000, followed by Chhano in second and E-Tech in third. United Ignite 3.0
United Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Incubation (UCEII), United College, under the United Academy Group, hosted United Ignite 3.0 today. The event is the third edition of the college’s flagship business-idea pitching competition.
The competition brought together 28 students from the Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) programs. Following a structured selection process, 9 student teams advanced to the final round: 3 from BBM, 4 from BCA, and 2 from BBS. Each team pitched an original business concept before a panel of judges, faculty members, and guests.

The judging panel included Cheteze Tamang, CEO of Act 360 and an alumnus of United Academy; Krishna Prasad Pandey, founder and CEO of Dursikshya Education Network; and Anupam Bhattarai, director of academic and technology innovation at Idea Studio Nepal.
After all nine pitches and a round of judge feedback, three teams were declared winners. Kapa-Kriti, a team from BBM comprising Jenisha Bajracharya and Jashmine Mali, secured first place and a cash prize of NPR 15,000. Chhano, a BBS team made up of Aabha KC, Monalika Poudel, and Roshni Tolange, placed second and received NPR 10,000. E-Tech, a BCA team of Sukriti Shrestha, Sujina Maharjan, Sneha Shrestha, and Salina Dhakal, placed third and won NPR 5,000. All three teams also received certificates of recognition.
Senior leadership of United Academy Group attended the event, including Campus Chief Dr Lal Rapacha, Founder Chairperson Dripa Chamling, Founder Director Narahang Rai, and Founder Academic Director Dr Kabi Raj Bantawa. Faculty mentors, including Seema Shahi, Rabina Duwal, Ganesh Joshi, and Dr Binod Lingden, guided the finalist teams through the preparation process ahead of the pitching session.
United Ignite is one of UCEII’s cornerstone initiatives, designed to give students hands-on experience in developing and presenting business ideas. Past editions of the competition have helped United College students advance to national-level platforms, including Idea Studio Nepal’s College Idea Hunt.
United College is currently accepting admissions for its BBM, BCA, BBS, BA, and MBS programs for the 2026/27 academic session.
