Janautthan Samudayic Microfinance Contributes NPR 400,000 to Support Flood Relief Efforts

Janautthan Samudayic Microfinance Financial Institution Limited has provided financial assistance to aid search, rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations following severe flooding along the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.

Aid Amount and Source: The institution provided NPR 400,000 sourced directly from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund.
Official Representation: Chairman Dr. Man Bahadur BK, along with Directors Yagyabikram Shahi and Gururaj Baral, formally presented the contribution check to Krishna Bahadur Raut, Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens and Social Security.
Government Dialogue: The delegation also met with Minister Sita Badi to deliver the contribution and brief the ministry on upcoming relief collection initiatives.

Staff Contributions and Field Operations
Employee Support: The microfinance institution decided to pool an additional contribution equivalent to one day of salary and allowances from all employees for flood relief.
Member Assessment: Field teams are gathering data across local branches to identify affected members and families, facilitate search and rescue operations, and organize voluntary financial and in-kind relief distribution.
Institutional Mission: Founded in 2010 (2067 B.S.) with its central office in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-10, the microfinance provider serves approximately 37,000 members through 39 branch offices across 19 districts, prioritizing green investment and community disaster management.
