Non-Life Insurance Association Contributes 34.7 Million Rupees for Flood Relief

The Nepal Non-Life Insurance Business Association and its member insurance companies have provided financial assistance totaling 34.7 million rupees to support relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction operations following the Bhote Koshi flood.

Financial Contribution and Organizational Delegation
Handover Ceremony: A delegation led by Association President Manohar Das Mul presented the financial assistance to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on Bhadra 17, with chairpersons and chief executive officers of member companies in attendance.
Participating Insurers: Contributing organizations include the Nepal Non-Life Insurance Business Association, Siddhartha Premier Insurance, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, Nepal Insurance, Neco Insurance, Prabhu Insurance, United Ajod Insurance, Sanima GIC Insurance, and Himalayan Everest Insurance.
Employee Contributions: The total sum includes 2,623,018 rupees in personal contributions from the employees of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, Himalayan Everest Insurance, and United Ajod Insurance.

Additional Contributions: NLG Insurance and IGI Prudential Insurance previously provided independent financial aid, while remaining member companies are currently finalizing additional support.
Priority Claim Settlement and Relief Commitment
Priority Claims Processing: The association committed to prioritizing the settlement of insurance claims for damaged hydropower projects, infrastructure, and private property once damage details are received to ensure rapid relief for policyholders.
Official Condolences: During an association meeting on Bhadra 15, members paid tribute to flood victims, offered condolences to grieving families, and expressed appreciation for rescue teams, security agencies, and international response units.
