Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang donated $10 million (approximately Rs. 151 crore) to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for flood recovery.

Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of the globally renowned American technology giant NVIDIA, has generously contributed $10 million (approximately Rs. 151 crore) to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. This historic contribution stands as one of the largest financial relief packages ever provided by a multinational company or individual for flood and landslide victims in the country.
Allocation for Rescue and Reconstruction
The substantial funds will be mobilized directly for rescue operations, rehabilitation of displaced families, and infrastructure reconstruction in severely affected regions, including the Bhote Koshi watershed in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
Government Appreciation and Total Fund Milestone
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle officially confirmed the donation through a video message, extending heartfelt gratitude to Jensen Huang on behalf of the Government of Nepal.
Minister Wagle noted that with this landmark contribution from Nvidia, the total collection in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund has now crossed Rs. 10 billion.
The government believes this noble gesture will inspire other international corporations and figures to support disaster response and recovery efforts in Nepalese communities.
