Siddhartha Hospitality Rasuwa Disaster Victims
In the wake of recent natural calamities, the Siddhartha Hospitality family has stepped forward to ensure that the education of disaster-affected children in the Betrawati area of Rasuwa remains uninterrupted.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to community welfare, the hospitality group has taken full responsibility for providing essential food supplies for one year to the children staying at the newly established hostel run by Shree Nilkantha Secondary School.
Reaching Out to the Affected Community
A dedicated relief team from Siddhartha Family traveled to Betrawati carrying food and relief materials. During their visit, the team engaged in constructive discussions with local representatives, partner organizations, and school authorities to assess post-disaster recovery and rehabilitation needs.
School officials briefed the visiting team on the grim ground realities: out of approximately 600 students enrolled at the school, nearly 200 remain out of contact, and several young learners have been left vulnerable after losing their parents.
To protect these children and provide them with a secure environment to continue their schooling, the school administration initiated a dedicated residential hostel facility.
Commitment to Long-Term Recovery and Education
Highlighting the importance of long-term support, Krishna Neupane, Chief Executive Officer of Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality, emphasized that immediate relief must be followed by a sustained focus on education, child protection, and future development.
“Supporting the affected community within our capacity is an essential corporate social responsibility. Investments made in children’s education today hold profound, long-term significance for their future and the nation’s resilience,” Neupane stated.
Fostering Social Responsibility Through SAKAR
Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality has long integrated corporate citizenship with its commercial ventures. Through its philanthropic arm, the Siddartha Association for Care and Responsibility (SAKAR), the group actively executes diverse social programs. These include:
