inDrive, a global mobility and delivery platform, has contributed NPR 7.5 crore (Approximately USD 500,000) to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support the Government of Nepal’s ongoing relief, rehabilitation, and recovery efforts for communities affected by the recent floods.
The contribution was handed over to Honourable Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle in Kathmandu on September 9, 2026, in the presence of representatives from inDrive Nepal.
The support follows the Bhote Koshi flood of August 26, triggered by an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-China border, which devastated settlements across Rasuwa and downstream areas, including parts of Nuwakot and Dhading. The disaster has caused extensive loss of life, with search and rescue operations continuing, and has destroyed homes, schools, bridges, hydropower facilities, and other critical infrastructure.
inDrive has also extended direct relief support to flood-affected families in Bidur Municipality, Ward No. 9, Nuwakot. As part of the initiative, essential relief materials including food, solar lights, induction stoves, blankets and sanitary pads were provided to support families facing immediate needs following the disaster.
Arsen Tomsky, Founder and CEO of inDrive, said:
“The floods in Nepal have brought immense loss and hardship to families and communities across the country. Our thoughts are with everyone who has lost loved ones, homes, or livelihoods. Nepal is an important part of the inDrive community, and we want to stand with the people of Nepal at this difficult time. We hope our contribution will help bring immediate support to those who need it most and help affected communities recover and rebuild.”
inDrive extends its deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones in the Bhote Koshi disaster, and stands with the thousands still awaiting news of missing relatives.
