Five Years After Ford’s India Exit
Five years after Ford announced the closure of its vehicle sales and manufacturing operations in India, GO Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. continues to strengthen Ford’s presence in Nepal through dedicated customer support and an expanding portfolio of international Ford models.
Ford, one of the world’s leading and most recognized automotive brands, announced the cessation of its vehicle sales and manufacturing operations in India on September 9, 2021. While Ford’s sales operations came to an end, the company continued supporting existing customers in the Indian market through its after-sales network.
In Nepal, GO Automobiles has remained committed to Ford customers, ensuring that existing Ford owners continue to receive professional service, genuine spare parts, technical expertise, and customer support.
At the same time, Ford Nepal continues its sales operations with Ford’s international models, including the Ford Everest, Ford Ranger and Ford Ranger Raptor, bringing the latest global products to customers in Nepal. GO Automobiles is also preparing to introduce new Ford models in the Nepalese market in the near future, further strengthening the brand’s presence and product offering.
Over the years, GO Automobiles has continued to invest in its Ford after-sales capabilities, supporting Ford vehicles across Nepal and helping customers maintain a dependable ownership experience. The company remains focused on ensuring access to essential parts, technical expertise and quality service.
For GO Automobiles, the commitment goes beyond selling vehicles. It is about building a long-term relationship with Ford customers and continuing to bring Ford’s global products and capabilities to Nepal.
“Ford ownership is a journey, and our responsibility is to ensure that journey continues with confidence. We remain committed to supporting every Ford customer, while also bringing Ford’s international models and new products to Nepal,” said Mr. Akash Golchha, Managing Director, GO Automobiles.
Five years on, the message from GO Automobiles remains clear: Ford’s journey in Nepal continues—with strong after-sales support, global products and more exciting models ahead.
