Rain Forces NPL Match Abandonment: Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos Share Points
Persistent heavy rain resulted in the cancellation of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) match between Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos today at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.
Waterlogging across the outfield prevented even the toss from taking place, forcing officials to call off the game without a single ball bowled.
Points Table Impact: Lumbini and Chitwan Move Up
With the match abandoned, both teams were awarded one point each. This outcome moves Lumbini Lions to second place on the points table with 3 points, while Chitwan Rhinos sit in third place, also tied on 3 points.
Currently, Karnali Yaks dominate the top of the standings with 4 points after winning both of their opening fixtures. Pokhara Avengers sit at the bottom of the table following their single appearance so far.
