MoU Signing Ceremony

Tribhuvan University and Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN) have signed an MoU for research and education network connection at Tribhuvan University. The connection will enable access to the global research and education network from TU premises.

Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN) is a non-profit organization registered under Nepal Government and affiliated with Social Welfare Council. It facilitates a dedicated advanced research and education network for the research and education communities of Nepal.

An agreement has been signed between Tribhuvan University and the Nepal Research and Education Network (NERN) to create high-speed research and educational network.

Through entering this network, students, researchers, and professors of the Central Campus would be able to access the study and education networks of other countries of the world.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Shiv Lal Bhusal, Chairperson of Tribhuvan University, and Lochan Lal Amatya, Chairperson of the Nepal Research and Education Network.

The Nepal Research and Education Network has been promoting the need for research and education networks in Nepal for more than a decade.

So far, more than 20 research and educational organizations in Nepal have joined the network. The Nepal Academy of Science and Technology has connected to this global network just a few weeks ago.
