The production team unveiled the trailer today in Kathmandu during a special event coinciding with Janai Purnima.
The trailer offers a compelling glimpse into the life of its protagonist, whose dream of reaching Korea is fueled by the desire to escape financial hardship and uplift his family. Viewers witness his arduous journey: from the difficult decision to leave his home to clear his father’s debts, to finding himself marooned in Kathmandu, and ultimately ensnared in a web of circumstances that demand he risk everything to secure a permanent home for his father.
Intertwined with this central quest are glimpses of his romantic encounters with Miruna Magar, his complex relationship with his sister, played by Keki Adhikari, and the challenges stemming from her troubled marriage. The trailer skillfully navigates moments of love, sacrifice, and hardship, all set against the relatable backdrop of everyday life for lower-middle-class Nepalese families, promising a story that will resonate deeply with audiences.
A Stellar Cast and Creative Team
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast, with Miruna Magar starring alongside Vijay Baral, Keki Adhikari, Sushank Mainali, Gaurav Pahari, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Riar Rai, Tara Sharma, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, and Suman Thapa.
The production team expresses confidence that the film’s relatable storyline will resonate with the general Nepali audience.
Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhaka Dhaga Haru is directed by Himal Nyaupane. Notably, Prem Geet 3 actor Manish Raut steps into the filmmaking arena as associate director. The intricate script, compelling screenplay, and sharp dialogues are all penned by Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative.
Kamal Nyaupane and Bimal Nyaupane produce the film under the banner of Paperclip. Executive producers include Narayan Timilsina, Chudamani Sibakoti, R.K. Manandhar, C.R. Basnet, Philip D.C., and James Maharajan.
The musical landscape of the film is crafted by Thaneshwar Gautam, Arjun Pokhrel, and S.D. Yogi and Prashant Sibakoti. Navin Gurung serves as the Director of Photography, with cinematography by Krishna Pariyar.
Release Date and Anticipated Success
Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhaka Dhaga Haru is slated for release on Bhadra 6 (August 22, 2025). The film will be distributed by Govinda Shahi’s Kafiya Films.
This project marks a significant moment for Vijay Baral, as it is his first lead role this year following the immense success of his recent blockbuster, Purnabahadur Ko Sarangi, setting high expectations for his performance.
