Asian Paints Partners Karnali Yaks For NPL 2 – Team Roster and Foreign Signings Revealed

The Karnali Yaks franchise team is gearing up for the highly anticipated second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with a major sponsorship deal. Karnali Yaks Sports Pvt. Ltd. has officially welcomed Asian Paints as its co-sponsor, signaling strong corporate support for the team.

The partnership agreement was formalized on Tuesday during a signing ceremony at the Yak & Yeti Hotel in Kathmandu.
The contract was officially signed by Mr. Grihendra Ghimire, Director of Karnali Yaks, and Ms. Astha Satyal, Assistant Manager of Marketing for Asian Paints. Ms. Ankita Shrestha, also an Assistant Manager of Marketing for Asian Paints, was present for the significant event.
This collaboration is a key step for the team as they prepare for the upcoming NPL season (scheduled to begin around November-December 2025).
Director Ghimire expressed his excitement about the partnership, noting the team is now fully prepared for the second edition. Asian Paints is a powerhouse in the global paint industry, a leading producer of international-quality paints in Nepal, with a significant market presence across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the South Pacific.

In a bid to connect with fans and find fresh talent, the team has announced a Trophy Tour across various cities, religious sites, and tourist destinations in Karnali Province on November 2. This will be followed by a Talent Hunt on November 5, aimed at unearthing local cricketing stars for the team.

Karnali Yaks showed impressive performance in the inaugural NPL season (Mangsir 15 to Poush 6, 2081 BS / Nov 30 to Dec 21, 2024), reaching the second qualifier. For the second edition, the team is building on that success with a balanced squad and experienced coaches.
