ADBL 59th Anniversary: National Badminton Tournament Successfully Concluded

As part of its 59th-anniversary celebrations, Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) successfully concluded an internal National Badminton Tournament.

Organized by the Agricultural Development Bank Employees Organization Nepal, Central Committee, the event aimed to foster harmony, collaboration, and physical well-being among the Nepalese workforce of the institution.
The two-day tournament, held on April 19 and 20 (Baisakh 6-7) at the Suryabinayak Badminton Society Covered Hall in Bhaktapur, saw enthusiastic participation from bank employees stationed at branches across the country.
Tournament Highlights and Results
The competition featured high-intensity matches showcasing the athletic talent within the bank. Takkar Kunwar and Pratikshya Nepal emerged as the standout performers, clinching the titles in the Men’s and Women’s Singles categories, respectively.

Closing Ceremony and Special Recognition
The grand closing and award distribution ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Govinda Gurung, CEO of Agricultural Development Bank. While handing over trophies to the winners, CEO Gurung emphasized the importance of such events for corporate culture.
“Activities like these strengthen employee health, interpersonal relationships, and team spirit, which ultimately has a positive impact on the institution’s productivity,” said CEO Govinda Gurung.
Mr. Indramani Ghimire, President of the Agricultural Development Bank Employees Organization Nepal, distributed certificates and cash prizes. Additionally, officials from various bank unions honored the winners with medals, symbolizing collective solidarity.
A special highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of Mr. Rakesh Yadav, an international Taekwondo referee employed at the bank. He was jointly honored by CEO Gurung and President Ghimire for his exceptional contribution to the nation, representing the bank.
This tournament stands as a memorable milestone in the bank’s 59-year journey, successfully boosting employee morale through the spirit of sportsmanship.
