In a landmark milestone for Nepalese cricket, all matches of the upcoming third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) have been officially granted List A T20 status.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) confirmed the development through a official press notice.
The decision comes on the heels of the International Cricket Council (ICC) granting official sanctioning to the marquee tournament.
With this status, player performances, individual statistics, and team records across all matches in the league will now be permanently recognized in official professional Twenty20 cricket statistics globally.
The Cricket Association of Nepal expressed strong confidence that this official standing will significantly boost the overall development, professionalization, and global visibility of Nepalese cricket.
