Federation of Computer Association Nepal)is pleased to announce the organization of the Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) Nepal 2024, a two-day capacity development workshop focused on Internet governance. The event will be held on August 30th and 31st, 2024, at Kathmandu, Nepal.
APIGA Nepal 2024 offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young professionals, to dive deep into Internet governance, ICANN policies, and the multistakeholder model. Modeled after the broader APIGA program conducted by ICANN in partnership with Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), this workshop aims to nurture future leaders in the digital policy space.
Participants will engage in a variety of interactive sessions, including seminars, roundtable discussions, simulation games, and a Mock ICANN Conference, providing them with practical experience and a comprehensive understanding of Internet governance issues.
Who Can Apply?
The workshop is open to undergraduate and graduate students aged 18 to 35 from universities and tertiary educational institutions, as well as young professionals from ISPs, banks, and corporate offices. While a technical background is an advantage, it is not a requirement. Applicants should have a keen interest in Internet governance and a desire to influence the future of the Internet.
