The iPhone customers have started complaining about problems on delay in typing the text message, or the lag in loading mail on iPhone. So, Apple itself has admitted it’s slowing down certain aging iPhones and has confirmed that it does it deliberately to slow down the operation of the iPhone. This slowing down was done to prevent the devices from shutting down due to the aging battery.

Recently, technology related websites have explained that the new battery works its function very well but its functionality decreases with the aging battery and makes the iPhone slow. The Lithium-ion battery of iPhone once ages, it is unable to handle the processing demands and before and leads to unexpected shutting down of the phones.

This revelation of iPhone slowing down the old iPhones also led to the generation of a conspiracy theory that suggests that after Apple releases new products, it deliberately slows your iPhone to push you into buying the new products. However, this theory is not necessarily true as Apple has revealed the reason behind this act.

BBC has also given information on this news. The company itself admitted that the old model iPhone had low potentiality due to decreasing potentiality of its battery. Once it happens then automatically the processor don’t get enough energy and the shutting down problem arises to avoid the devices from shutting down because of aging batteries, was explained by Apple. Apple also apologized for any misunderstandings regarding this issue and assure the users they will never intentionally shorten a product’s life.
