Web Dialogue APT

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) is set to host a crucial online dialogue on May 16, 2024, at 13:00 hrs. Bangkok time, focusing on addressing the mobile gender gap prevalent in low- and middle-income countries across the Asia Pacific (APT Web Dialogue) region.

Led by GSMA, the 45-minute session will feature insights into the size and drivers of the mobile gender gap, along with opportunities to bridge this divide. Pippa McDougall, Senior Advocacy Manager for GSMA’s Connected Women team, will present GSMA’s latest data and perspectives on digital and financial inclusion for women and girls in these countries.

Following the presentation, an interactive discussion will ensue, exploring the policy measures necessary to expedite progress in closing the digital gender gap at scale. The dialogue underscores the importance of targeted action to ensure that everyone in the APAC region can benefit from connectivity.
