BIGF & ISOCbd Partnership For Digital Development in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) and the Internet Society Bangladesh Chapter (ISOCbd) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration on Internet governance, digital transformation, and emerging technologies in Bangladesh. 3. Ensure Internet Governance & Prevent Fragmentation – Develop policies and frameworks to maintain an open and interoperable Internet.
4. Strengthen Data Protection & Privacy Mechanisms – Enhance data-sharing policies while ensuring privacy and security.
5. Promote Innovation & Data-Driven Decision Making – Encourage the responsible use of open data, big data, and analytics for public benefit.
6. Safeguard Human Rights in the Digital Space – Advocate for digital rights and online freedom of expression.
7. Enhance Digital Security – Prevent discrimination, misinformation, and cyber threats.
8. Regulate AI & Emerging Technologies – Develop responsible guidelines for artificial intelligence and other technological advancements.
9. Advocate for the Digital Commons – Recognize the Internet as a global public good and promote equitable access.
10. Support Global Digital Initiatives – Contribute to the UN World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Global Digital Compact.
11. Assign Focal Points for Effective Collaboration – Ensure smooth implementation of initiatives through designated representatives from both organizations.
