The Sudurpaschim Royals, a franchise team in the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL), has appointed former Australian cricketer Brad Hodge as their mentor.

Hodge was a member of the Australian squad that won the 2007 Cricket World Cup and has also played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Excitement in the Team Team owner Swatantra Pratap Shah expressed the team’s excitement about Hodge’s appointment, highlighting his experience in international cricket and major leagues like the IPL. The team believes Hodge’s mentoring will greatly enhance their performance in the league.
Key Team Members All-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has been chosen as the marquee player for Sudurpaschim Royals, while Jagdish Tamata will serve as the team’s head coach.
The Nepal Premier League (NPL), organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), is set to begin on December 1, 2024 (Mangsir 16, 2081). The inclusion of international cricketing talent like Brad Hodge underscores the growing appeal of Nepali cricket.
