LG announced and released a brand new LG V10 smartphone on October 2015 that comes up with an Android OS, v5.1.1 (Lollipop). This phone supports GSM/HPSA/LTE network configurations. This phone has a dimension of 159.6 x 79.3 x 8.6 mm (6.28 x 3.12 x 0.34 in) having the thickness of 8.6 mm and weighs about 192 grams.
It uses Nano-SIM technology which is shock resistant MIL-STD-810 G certified. The display is of 16M colors and has IPS LCD capacities touchscreen. The screen size is 5.7 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 70.8%. The screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels which are precisely 515 PPI pixel density. It supports multi touch and comes up with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 2.1 inches Secondary display of 160 x 1040 pixels.
It has got Qualcomm MSM 8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset, and CPU comprises of Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 & dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57 processors. The GPU used is Adreno 418. The internal memory available is 32/64 GB and contains 4 GB RAM. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 200 GB(dedicated slot).
The primary camera comprises of a 16 MP, f/1.8, laser autofocus, OIS and LED flash camera having the features like 1/2.6″ sensor size, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, and HDR. The video quality is 2160 p@30 fps, 1080 p@30 fps, 720 p@120 fps, HDR and stereo sound rec.
While the secondary camera is 5 MP Duo, f/2.2 camera, the microphone jack is 3.55 mm Hi-Fi DAC sound jack and has got loudspeakers. The WLAN supported are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-band, hotpots, and DLNA. The Bluetooth version is 4.1, LE, A2DP, apt-X. It supports NFC connection and infrared port.
It also has Stereo FM radio and the USB available is v2.0, slim port 4K. The browser is HTML5. The GPS technology used is A-GPS, GLONASS. It also comes with a fingerprint, color spectrum, accelerator, proximity, gyro and compass sensors. The battery comes with Fast battery charging 50% in 40 min with Quick Charge 2.0 and the assault used is Non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery, and the endurance rating is 56h.
The colors available are Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue and Opal Blue. The main disadvantages of this phone are there are more powerful chipsets that exist, a flagship should have gotten the best.
The phone is rugged, but not water resistant. The durable back covers not as premium as G4’s leather covers and the phone is rather heavy, even for its size. The available models are H900 (AT&T) and H901 (T-Mobile), VS990 (Verizon).
