This year the College welcomed a total of 321 graduates from The British College and 45 from The British Model College and their families. With so many graduates, the College hosted two ceremonies with Business students graduating in the morning from BBA, MBA, BHM, and EMBA; and IT students graduating in the afternoon from BSc (Hons) Computing and MSc IT and MSc Advanced Computer Science, as well as a selection of A level students.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the Panas by long-standing advisors to the College, Mr Michael Rutland, OBE, and Chairman, Upendra Raj Sharma. Guests then enjoyed a traditional dance performance and for the first time, a speech delivered by AI in honor of the groundbreaking BSc (Hons) Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence program now being offered at TBC.

Rajen Kandel, the CEO, Founder, and visionary of the College, then opened the event with a welcome speech. Speaking of the event he said, “This year we are celebrating the global impact that TBC has. It’s great to see our alumni thriving in Australia, Canada,  Europe, The UK, and Dubai. We have also started placements both in Nepal and with our global partners so our new graduates have more than ever to look forward to”.

This ceremony is a testament to our commitment to producing global leaders. For the past year, we have been promoting international placements and as we continue to expand with new partner schools across the world, we look forward to increasing the global opportunities for both our students and our alumni community, which we now welcome our new graduates to”.

Many distinguished guests were in attendance and delivered inspiring speeches, including the British Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Rob Fenn, Deputy British Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Luke Beaumont, and Prof Fergus Lyon, Advisor to TBC. Representatives from the partner universities also spoke at the event, including Professor Phil Cardew, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of LBU, Jo Midgley, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UWE, and Dr. Mic Palmer AHoD Partnerships in Computer Science and Creative Technologies at UWE, Bristol, Prof. Dr Daniel Reidenbach, Head of School of Computer Science and Mathematics at Keele University who welcomed the graduates as members of their alumni community.

The audience then heard from the Deputy Principal, Dr Patrick McCrudden, along with student representatives from each school. Once the graduates had then received their degrees, photo sessions commenced, food was served and the celebrations began. The ceremony was a great symbol of academic excellence, international collaboration, and the bright future that awaits The British College’s Class of 2024 graduates.
