Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) is the first IT College in Nepal to launch IT courses and have a well-established tradition of excellence across a broad range of academic disciplines. Similarly, it is a non-profit, non-government organization and is situated in the heart of Kathmandu valley at Maitidevi Marga. From the very beginning of its establishment in 1998, the college has made steady progress and today stands as one of the most leading colleges in Nepal with currently over 2,000 students.

Pankaj Jalan, Executive Director of Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) told that now they are conducting two programs like Computing and Technology, and Business and Management programmers while Post Graduation program is in progress. Furthermore, he added that they had applied the concept of continuous evaluation, curriculum + extra course, extra exposure for all IT students, digital marketing, placement day, and sell plan so that students can quickly adapt in the industry. Last time they even integrate with world link to provide a paid internship for the students.

He further told that LBEF has a long-standing history in the field of education and academics in Nepal.

During its establishment, LBEF tie-up with APU’s (Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation), Malaysia’s first IT College to launch IT courses in Nepal after the permission is granted by the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal (GON). So it has given a remarkable role to create a new education environment in Nepal and to create quality education available at a reasonable cost.

Furthermore, they have highly qualified and trained faculty members that provide practical guidance, monitoring, and assistance to the students. Even more, he told that perhaps they are the only who teaches student on 5I model education system, i.e., innovation, integration, information, interactivity, and imagination, that make their students more qualified in the field of completion.

Similarly, a systematic and periodic evaluation system through following and sections tests, to assess the development of students in specific knowledge areas make learning system more remarkable. So they always focus on how to make their students career better; for this reason, it has become as one of the most demanded college for every fresher student to learn IT course.

In the competition of most of the academic colleges, Prime College name always come forward.  And it is one of the best and the most preferred colleges for most of the students as well to learn BIM, BBS, BBA, and BSC.CSIT courses.  Not only this, but its glory has also increased day by day as soon as it has started the sequence of BSC.CSIT being staying in the heart of Kathmandu valley at Khusibu (Naya Bazar).

BSC.CSIT course is one of the most globally updated, recognized and accepted path having a wide range of scope. So realizing its global market scope, Prime College has started this course in Nepal to promote IT in the field of software development.

During the interview with the Program coordinator of Prime College, Dilli Prasad Sharma told that most of the students had confusion on choosing BSC.CSIT and Computer Engineering Course. So he had mentioned that both of the courses had equal value in the market. The only difference is if you did an internship in Computer Engineering you got a chance to get the title of “Er.” In front of your name, but the case of BSC.CSIT you didn’t.

He further added that the course of BSC.CSIT is a new one and more updated than Computer Engineering, so students quickly got the chance to adopt in the market. For this reason, they had started BSC.CSIT course than Computer Engineering.

He further told that IT had a global market so they can easily cope with national as well as international demand. Furthermore, he said that it had solved the Brain drain problem somehow in Nepal since it made capable of students to do the online job in Nepal as well.

Thinking all these possibilities, they always dedicated to promoting their students’ both academic as well as market-oriented environment to build up to them as professional.
