The results of Grade 12 is already published. Since it is a career-determining level, students are looking for a suitable graduation course for them. Here we have found a unique program for students to enroll in undergraduate level.
CG Institute of Management (CGIM) College has introduced a new program, ‘BIT with Technopreneurship (Hons)’.
The college is conducting a technopreneurship course at the graduate level after receiving this affiliation from Limkoking University of Creative Technology (LUCT) in Malaysia. Apart from BIT with Technopreneurship (Hons), another course of IT, BSc (Hons) in Information Technology is also taught in this college. Both these courses have been taught since 2021.
This course is designed for students who want to study IT and also want to study business (professional studies) of management subject. In simple terms, this course is designed to combine IT and business.
Nishant Shrestha, the head of the college’s IT department branch, says that the course will support both business and IT sectors. According to him, this course aims to produce students with an entrepreneurial mindset rather than students with a job mindset.
Integrating IT into an enterprise is technopreneurship. Whoever is doing entrepreneurship, if they mix IT in it, they become a technopreneur.
This is a three-year 123 credit hour course. It is taught for six semesters.
Students who have passed class 12 can enroll in this course. For this course, it doesn’t matter if you take any subject at the secondary level. But a minimum 2 GPA or 45 percent score should be obtained.
Students who pass this course can go for either IT or management. He can make his career in the fields of IT database, software engineering, networking, and programming. Similarly, you can work in the fields of management such as marketing, economics, project management, and accounting.
Shrestha says that since this course is a mix of IT and business, there will be no problem in getting a job abroad or at home. Besides, there is an opportunity to start entrepreneurship. Shrestha also said that if the projects to be built at the end of this course are market-capturing, CG will help startups.
The college gives also provides scholarships based on merit to those who stand first in the entrance exam and semester. About seven lakh rupees have been fixed for this course.
The college will admit about 30 to 40 students in one intake. The college takes admission in two intakes in a year in January/February and August/September.
