During the annual post-monetary policy discussion organized by IBN Media, Chiranjibi Adhikari, Cyber Security Advisor of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and General Secretary of the Federation of Computer Association Nepal, emphasized the need to prioritize Nepali software products and their valuation. He requested Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to ensure that loans provided by Nepali banks give preference to domestic software solutions.

Adhikari highlighted the growing importance of cybersecurity and the shift of opportunities from physical assets such as land and buildings to digital assets in the cloud. He stressed the urgent need for policy development to control fraud in QR payments and cross-border transactions. Adhikari’s recommendations aim to strengthen the local software industry and safeguard digital transactions, fostering a secure and innovative economic environment in Nepal.

IBN Media organized its annual post-monetary policy discussion, bringing together participants from the government, non-governmental organizations, the business community, and the private sector to discuss and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the recently announced monetary policy. The event featured distinguished representatives from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA), and officials from both the private and government sectors.
