College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) is the First IT-enabled college of Nepal. It is one of the Purbanchal University affiliated college and is also famous with the name of CIT. From the beginning of it was in 2000, it has conducted lots of program for Information Technology, Engineering, and Management; with the motto of engaging, learn, innovate, succeed and connect.
Currently, It is situated in Kathmandu Valley at Tinkune, Subidhanagar. From the very beginning of this college is always dedicated to providing its student with intellectual insights and technical knowledge as per the demands of the Globalized market in related field. So, CIT College has become the center of attraction for every new comer’s students to achieve the highest professional standards of quality education.
During the three days program in the united world trade center, all the Purbanchal University including CITE college meet up were conducted under the same roof. They thoroughly discussed on how to boost up the quality of PU on today’s market and how to make competition with other universities based on quality education.
During this education fair, Er. Sudhir Guragain, Managing Director of CITE, gave his valuable speech on “how can we fit our students on the current market.” He told that getting theoretical knowledge is not sufficient to fit the students on the competitive market. Instead, both academic and industry-friendly practical understanding is needed.
So being a manager of CIT College, he told that they have conducted lots of creative and professional programs for students according to their feedback and considering their intention to engage in creative, analytical and creative work. With the collaboration of different IT industry and business organization, they have provided an academic, professional training to students regularly. Beside students also need not to have to worry about their placement in the market after graduation.
In addition to this, he told us that all the misconception about PU had been solved. Now there is a regular examination, not so turnover, timely publish the results and maintain the academic calendar. So now PU has become similar to TU and KU based on quality education.
InCITE college, they have conducted lots of bachelor level programs in various fields like in Engineering– Bachelor of Electronics and Communication Engineering (BE Elec. and Comm.) and Bachelor of Computer Engineering (BE Computer), in Information Technology– Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), in Management– Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) to fulfill the demands of current markets.
Even though they were still planning to bring the newly revised courses in near future maintaining the available resources, he told. They believed in quality rather than quantity. So they provide lots of facilities to the students like Library, practical demonstrations room, qualified and senior faculties, computer lab, follow information Technology tools and technique. Finally, he mentioned that talented, skillful, creative and hard-working students are heartily welcomed on CIT College to shape their career.
