Citizen Life Insurance Leaders Mobilize Relief Drive for Flood Victims in Nuwakot

Leaders and associates of Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited have organized a multi stage relief initiative to support citizens affected by recent flooding in Nuwakot.

Essential supplies including food, clothing, and emergency items were collected through contributions from leaders across various branch offices to deliver targeted assistance to displaced families.

Phased Distribution of Essential Relief Supplies

The relief distribution campaign was rolled out in two coordinated phases to address immediate and localized needs in impact areas.

• Bidur Municipality Handover: Initial collections of food and essential goods were formally delivered to local authorities at Bidur Municipality on Bhadra 13.
• Settlement Distribution: On Bhadra 19, additional relief materials were delivered directly to a temporary settlement established in the flood affected Betravati (Swara) area.
• Ground Logistics: Supplies were transported through difficult terrain and hazardous road conditions to reach designated holding centers across Nuwakot.

Leadership and Coordination Framework

The relief effort was executed through collaboration among regional heads, agency managers, and branch coordinators.

• Regional Coordination: Bishnu Prasad Sapkota, Regional Head of the Balaju area, led and coordinated the overall campaign.
• Key Contributors: Notable contributions were made by Saroj Lo, Citizen Life Star Agency Manager Geeta Rayamajhi, Senior Agency Managers Sureshbabu Jamar Kattel and Niru Adhikari, alongside Agency Managers Sushil Kumar Basnet, Durga Dhakal Khadka, Jaya Shrestha, Uma Deuja, and Uma Thapa. Over 80 leaders from various branches participated actively.
• Ground Distribution Team: Field operations and physical distribution were managed with assistance from leaders Hari Adhikari, Uma Deuja, Bir Bahadur Tamang, Bishnu Gurung, and Dilkumar Koju.
• Branch Management Support: Operational management and coordination were facilitated by Branch Heads Kalpana Karki Bhandari (Swayambhu), Bipul Pandey (Jarankhu), Deepak Pokharel (Maharajgunj), Rajkumar Neupane (Tokha), Manisha Tamang (Balaju), and Kavita Shrestha (Nuwakot).
