The beneficiary learning academy is located in Bansgadhi Municipality-5 within the Bardiya district.
The structural support package was coordinated and delivered through the bank’s local Badhaiyatal Branch as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility program. The community initiative focuses on enhancing specialized learning conditions for students with physical vulnerabilities.
ESSENTIAL BRAILLE RESOURCES DELIVERED TO COMMUNITY SCHOOL
The target public institution was established in 2045 B.S. and currently provides education to around 1,200 students from diverse local backgrounds. Among the total student population, 20 visually impaired students rely entirely on tactile reading tools to complete their daily academic curricula.
Recognizing a severe shortage of specialized teaching resources at the academy, the commercial bank supplied a comprehensive bundle of learning equipment. The donated logistical package includes thick Braille writing paper, A-grade tactile styluses, and premium interpoint Braille slates.
UPGRADING DIGITAL ACCESS WITH SCREEN READING TOOLS
In addition to physical reading materials, the bank provided complete school bags and a modern computer workstation for the classroom. The computing machine comes pre-installed with JAWS screen-reading software to help students convert digital text into audible speech formats.
The educational assets were transferred during a special ceremony organized on the school grounds. The hardware and writing materials were handed over in the presence of senior school management representatives, local community heads, and regional bank officials.
CORPORATE SOCIAL COMMITMENT AND COMMUNITY IMPACTS
Citizens Bank International Limited stated that it remains dedicated to executing social responsibility campaigns that create positive educational, economic, and cultural impacts. The firm regularly channels resources to uplift vulnerable student groups across rural municipalities.
The banking group also highlighted its recent digital service upgrades designed to simplify retail banking transactions. These recent systems include the launch of the Citizens PhonePe Virtual Credit Card, the specialized Citizens Gen G Savings Account for youth, and the integrated Citizens Digi Bank web platform.
ADVANCED RETAIL FEATURES AND NATIONWIDE ACCESS
The financial institution has also rolled out a dedicated Freelancer Savings Account designed to assist independent digital service exporters. Furthermore, mobile banking users can now apply for initial public offering shares and receive their corporate CRN registration codes directly inside the bank’s smartphone application.
The bank also operates a unique Cash Bank Teller platform allowing customers of external banking institutions to withdraw physical funds by scanning a teller QR code at local counters. Citizens Bank International Limited currently serves more than 2.04 million consumers through an extensive national footprint consisting of 200 branches, 169 automated teller machines, three extension counters, and 42 branchless banking units spread across 61 districts of Nepal.
