Codeavour International Competition Nepal Kickstarts Student Selection for Upcoming Championship

Nima Education Foundation has officially launched the student selection process in Nepal for the upcoming Codeavour International Robotics, Coding, and AI Competition. Targeting students aged 7 to 18, the initiative expects around 8,000 Nepalese participants to compete for a spot in the prestigious global event.

The official student selection process has kicked off in Nepal for the upcoming Codeavour International Robotics, Coding and AI Competition. Organized by the Nima Education Foundation, the launch event marked the beginning of the journey for young tech enthusiasts across the country as they vie to represent Nepal on a global stage.
Key Highlights of the Competition
Target Age Group: Students aged 7 to 18 years.
Global Participation: Competitors from approximately 50 countries worldwide.
Expected Nepalese Turnout: Around 8,000 students from schools across Nepal are anticipated to take part in the domestic selection rounds.
Event Timeline: The international championship is scheduled to take place in Thailand in the coming months of Baishakh and Jestha.
Fostering Innovation and Critical Skills
According to Kiran Shrestha, Program Coordinator for Codeavour Nepal, educational institutions nationwide have shown immense enthusiasm due to the platform’s focus on sustainable solutions. The competition encourages students to utilize AI and robotics to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Core challenges for participants include designing robotics solutions for innovation, entrepreneurship, clean energy, and global energy crises, as well as building competitive football-playing robots.
Nepal’s Impressive Track Record on the Global Stage
Nepal has consistently demonstrated excellence in past editions of the Codeavour International competition:
Dubai (2024): 20 teams featuring 60 students participated.
Doha, Qatar (2025): 19 teams comprising 72 students represented the nation.
Jakarta, Indonesia (Previous Year): 40 teams with 95 selected students from a domestic pool of 5,000 participants secured 6 record-breaking international titles, with three Nepalese projects landing in the global top 30.
Building on these milestones, Nima Education Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Nischal Pradhan, shared that Nepal is rigorously preparing to rank among the top 10 countries in this upcoming cycle. Selected through a systematic, multi-tier evaluation process, the chosen student representatives are expected to deliver another stellar performance in Thailand.
