OPPO has formally introduced the latest version of its smartphone platform – Color OS 6. It is already shipping with the OPPO F11, and OPPO F11 Pro. The new OS is based on a lighter color scheme, brings some performance enhancement features and an app drawer.

The new design brings a pure white background with subtle gradients for “a clean and practical visual experience. There are fewer lines, refreshed icons, new gestures and improved animations, which is excellent if one is into this type of OS customization.
Boosting performance is wrapped under the slogan of Hyper Boost. It consists of System Boost, App Boost, and Game Boost. There is also Game Assistant that prevents calls and notifications from bothering user during game sessions and screen recording.
Game Space is another feature that allows one to personalize their gaming experience. It brings Smart Dual Channel Network that uses Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity simultaneously, so the connection does not drop when it’s switching due to the unreliable connection.
Riding Mode is just like any other Auto Mode but is marketed at countries which use mostly mopeds for transportation. It is said to be available only in South-East Asian markets and will mute notifications, text back to decline calls and avoid any distractions.
Since Color OS 6 is based on Android Pie, there are new navigation gestures, improved notification bar and redesigned Smart Assistant, accessible with a left swipe from the home screen. Since now everything is about AI, the System Smart Management monitors processes and intelligently stops background apps that aren’t frequently used to preserve the battery.
