Connecting Karnali Exhibition Showcasing Photos
The event in New Baneshwor aims to connect the federal capital with the Karnali region through the “Connecting Karnali” campaign.
Bharat Bandhu Thapa, the president of the foundation and a photojournalist, shared that the exhibition highlights Mugu, a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists. In addition to photographs and videos, Dolpa district products are showcased.
While visiting the exhibition, former Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka, expressed his belief that this display will help promote the Karnali province. He emphasized that Karnali is a tourist hotspot and holds immense natural potential.
The exhibition, which began on Saturday and runs until Monday, features 30 photographs portraying the beauty of Mugu, along with videos that highlight the culture and landscapes of the Karnali region. The foundation has also displayed locally produced items from the region.
Photographs by Kabiraj Karki, Kuberraj Karki, and Bharat Bandhu Thapa are featured in the exhibition. This marks the continuation of the “Connecting Karnali” campaign, which previously showcased the districts of Dailekh and Dolpa.
The initiative aims to bring the potential and beauty of Karnali to the federal capital, using words, pictures, videos, and locally produced items to highlight the region’s cultural and natural richness.
