Corporate Samachar Celebrates 1st Anniversary With Empowering ‘Ladies Bike Ride’ featuring Royal Enfield
17th January 2026, Kathmandu
To mark its first year of impactful business journalism, Corporate Samachar hosted a landmark event in collaboration with Royal Enfield: the “Ladies Bike Ride.”
Corporate Samachar 1st Anniversary
This anniversary celebration was not just a corporate milestone but a powerful statement on women’s empowerment, courage, and the growing influence of women in the Nepalese automobile sector.
Celebrity Icons Swastima Khadka and Priyana Acharya Join the Ride
The event was graced by two of Nepal’s most beloved actresses, Swastima Khadka and Priyana Acharya (popularly known as ‘Munni’). Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at the Royal Enfield showroom, Swastima Khadka expressed her joy in seeing women take the lead in traditionally male-dominated spaces.
“During my college days, it was rare to see a girl on a bullet bike. Seeing more than 25 women riders today is a testament to the rising confidence and grit of Nepalese women,” Khadka remarked.
Priyana Acharya shared a similar sentiment, admitting that the energy of the event had ignited her own desire to learn how to ride a Royal Enfield. She lauded Corporate Samachar for choosing such a unique and inspiring way to celebrate their first anniversary.
A Journey Through Kathmandu’s Heritage
The ride featured over 25 professional and aspiring female riders who traversed the streets of Kathmandu, turning heads and breaking stereotypes. The route was carefully chosen to highlight the city’s rich culture, passing through:
-
Basantapur (Kathmandu Durbar Square)
-
Patan Durbar Square
-
Tinkune
The journey concluded at the scenic Norling Resort in Gokarna, where the formal anniversary ceremony took place.
Corporate Support and Local Leadership
Meghraj Poudyal, Executive Director of Alpha Automotive Pvt. Ltd. (the official distributor of Royal Enfield in Nepal), emphasized the brand’s commitment to supporting female riders. He noted that such events are crucial for promoting domestic tourism and diversifying the automotive market.
The formal program was attended by Krishnahari Karki, Mayor of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, who served as the Chief Guest. Mayor Karki praised Corporate Samachar, particularly highlighting that it is a female-led media organization.
Vision for the Future
Sangita Khatri, the operator and chairperson of Corporate Samachar, thanked her team and the readers for their unwavering support over the past year. “This journey was made possible by the collective effort of our team and the trust of our audience,” she said.
Ward Chairman Prakash Phuyal also spoke at the event, stating that Sangita Khatri’s leadership serves as an inspiration for other women looking to break into the media and business sectors in Nepal.
