A new technology, the ‘Crista App,’ designed for disaster information exchange, has been launched for testing in three local levels of Dhading: Nilkantha Municipality, Baireni Rural Municipality, and Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality. Dr. Indrajit Pal developed this app from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

During an event organized by the Disaster Risk Reduction Communication Society in Kathmandu, Project Officer Urisha Upadhyaya highlighted how the Crista App can significantly help minimize disaster damage. Residents can share disaster information through photos and text, enabling rescue teams to respond promptly and efficiently.
Journalists participating in the event suggested implementing the app nationwide and emphasized the importance of government adoption for its successful execution.
