The job vacancy announcement at Disaster Recovery Center, Hetauda has raised a few eyebrows in the IT sector. The announcement states that the viable Nepalese Citizens can fill up the application form before Magh 3. The vacancy mentions the need of 1 IT Director, 8 Computer Engineers, 1 Managing Head and 2 Electronics and Electrical Engineers. Similarly, 1 System Administrator, 2 Electrical Technician, 1 Computer Technician, and 2 Kharidar are required.

The criteria for the post of IT director mentioned that one needs to be a graduate of Computer Engineering to apply for the post. This decision presented in the notice clearly goes against the huge number of graduates from other departments of Information Technology.

Since no clear notice regarding the qualification has been published by the subject committee, the vacancy published by the service commission had to be released as per the old standards.

The graduates from B.Sc. CSIT are furious over the decision and feel that the announcement is a disrespect to the course and those concerned. Many CSIT graduates mentioned that the criteria presented by the committee is of no relation with the post mentioned and strongly oppose the announcement made by the commission. The graduates demand answers regarding the notice and are willing to take steps against the action.

National Information Technology Center Nepal calls application from eligible candidates for their vacant seats for the ongoing project National Recovery Center Hetauda this year.
